Sometimes the things that help communication the MOST… can feel the least natural at first. 🤍 Pausing instead of filling silence. Being silly. Repeating yourself. Using less words. Changing your voice. Following your child’s lead instead of directing play. For many parents, this does not come naturally — and that is completely okay. 🌱 We are often taught to: ✨ ask lots of questions ✨ correct immediately ✨ teach through pressure ✨ fill every silence But communication grows best through: 🤍 connection 🤍 safety 🤍 repetition 🤍 shared moments 🤍 emotionally engaging interactions Even just 10 minutes a day of: 🎵 singing together 🎲 child-led play ✨ playful interaction 🤍 sitting in pauses 😄 being expressive and silly …can have a HUGE impact on communication development over time. You do not need to be perfect. You do not need expensive resources. And you definitely do not need to turn your home into a classroom.
