“To be loved is to be seen”

Remembering is the most powerful love language!

Damnnn this series🥹🥹❤️

I’d remember that she was lactose intolerant. I’d remember how she always lost her hair tie, so I’d keep one on me. I’d remember to fill her water bottle before she headed out. I’d remember Taylor Swift lyrics even though I only listened to techno—because she loved her. I’d remember the brand of her curl cream, her perfume, her exfoliating body scrub—almost every product she used—just in case she ever ran out. I’d remember her birth date and even the time she was born. I’d remember that she hated swallowing medicine, so I’d always keep extra water around. I’d remember how she’d forget to wear socks when she was running late, so I’d tuck them into her shoes. I’d remember that she loved orange tulips. There’s so much more I’d remember—because honestly, I tried to remember every little thing about her. But six months into the relationship, I asked her my birth date… and she didn’t remember. It didn’t make me upset or sad. It just made me realize that people don’t always love you the way you love them. Everyone has their own version of what love is supposed to be, and it changes with the person they’re with. For me, remembering the small details was my love language. And maybe someday, she’ll meet someone who makes those small details feel worth remembering. I hope we both heal—and love deeply again. ♥️

“You are a mosaic of everyone you’ve loved” ❤️

Remembering the small details is not about memory it’s about care. It’s a quiet way of saying, I see you. I hold you in my mind.

"I got you","I will take care of that"...more romantic than 'I love you'

this is me! I’ve posted an essay expanding on this idea on my substack if you’d like to read it :)

To be loved is to be remembered

To be seen To be heard To be remembered .......... is to be loved 🤍🕊️✨

I remember this post....my favorite post of yours...seeing this video first time and her words mean soo much...

It hits home so much. I've been with someone 10 years... you share life togather and thinking its forever...and he couldn't remember that i hate colour red...or what size of shoes i wear. When we broke up it made me realise that i never felt loved and seen in that relationship. Heartbreaking...

Conversely, it can be also the most painful words. "I remember... She would have liked this/She likes this/when we went there together"

To be loved is to be seen and to be seen is to be known

"Weren't right for each other", yet matched again, he remembered everything about her and I bet she still decided not to be with him
