🚨TW: Graphic Content🚨 Elsa Laksono and Lilie Wijayanti Poegiono, who tragically passed away while climbing Carstensz Pyramid (Puncak Jaya), are being flown to Jakarta this morning, March 3. Their bodies were prepared for transport at RSUD Mimika before being transferred to Mozes Kilangin Airport for a domestic flight to Jakarta. Elsa, from Jakarta, was evacuated on March 2 after succumbing to acute mountain sickness (AMS) during descent. Lilie, from Bandung, was declared dead at Teras Dua following an attempted rescue and was evacuated this morning. The two were part of a climbing group on a seven summits mission.
